🌝 Moon Salutations चंद्र नमस्कार Chandra Namaskar

चंद्र means moon. Although the moon has no light of its own, it is the source of all feminine energy. The eternal moon offers her supports from far away. The energy of the moon is just like a mother, gentle and honest, strong but not intense, lovely and respectable. She teaches you about concentration, balancing your emotions and calming your moods.

The moon salutation is a set of sequencing postures offering our gratitude to the mother Moon and wishing she will support us as always.

The feminine energy resides on our left body. Always starts practising from the left side.
The whole set contains 28 postures, while the first 14 postures are as follows. The first 14 postures are called the Shukla Paksha, the bright fortnight. The second half is called Krishna Paksha, which means the dark fortnight. It repeats the same postures, except swapping the priority of left and right.
